Fota Wildlife Park Extension

This exciting project involves an impressive 27 Acre expansion and includes an Asian Sanctuary site where it is planned to introduce a number of new Asian animals to Fota Wildlife Park, many of which are endangered. The site is currently under construction and includes buildings for animals, two lakes, a second entrance building, souvenir shop, a raised walkway and a viewing building.
Part of the expansion already completed and open to the public is called the Tiger Forest which houses Sumatran Tigers. Other phases of the expansion will include areas for lions, rhinos, bears and many more animals.The expansion will increase the overall size of the Park by 40% and make it one of the largest wildlife parks in Europe.
